Chrysalis Music Workshop: Full Registration
Your full registration includes the complete schedule of learning, collaboration, and performance from Thursday through Sunday.
Four days of immersive music-making, mentorship, and creative exchange on the Wildwood shore. Your full registration secures your place in every session, performance, and gathering — and, more importantly, in a small community of harpists, flutists, and composers working side by side from arrival to farewell.
Thursday begins with afternoon arrival and check-in, followed by introductions and a welcome reception. The day closes with a full ensemble playthrough — your first taste of the sound you'll be building together over the next four days.
Friday moves into the heart of the workshop: morning warm-ups, masterclasses, and ensemble work. Afternoons bring individual coachings, private lessons, and composition read-throughs, where new works take shape in real time. The evening opens up for an open mic night — informal, generous, and often the most memorable hour of the weekend.
Saturday deepens the work with morning masterclasses and ensemble rehearsals, then turns to workshops, panel discussions, and coachings designed to address the practical realities of a working artist's life. The day culminates in SPARX in concert — a featured performance by Anne Sullivan and Joan Marsh.
Sunday brings the weekend to its peak: morning warm-ups and final rehearsals lead into participant ensemble performances, where the music you've built together comes to life. We close at noon with a strategy session and farewell, sending you home with a plan, not just memories.
What makes Chrysalis different:
- Cross-instrument masterclasses that pull you out of familiar habits and into fresh musical thinking
- Composers in the room — not as an abstract presence, but writing for and with you across all four days
- Business and collaboration sessions taught by working artists who have built sustainable careers
- A culminating performance that turns four days of work into something you've actually made together
- Small-cohort intimacy with faculty access you won't find at larger festivals
Full registration includes all sessions, masterclasses, coachings, lunches, the welcome reception, the SPARX concert, and participant performance opportunities. Schedule subject to refinement as the workshop approaches.
We are currently finalizing our hotel room block arrangements and discounted group rates, so hotel booking is not yet open. Lodging options will range from approximately $160–180 per night and have been selected for both convenience and comfort. One hotel is located directly across the street from the Convention Center, while the furthest option is just one mile away and offers shuttle service to the venue. Hotel booking information and reservation links will be shared as soon as they become available.
All registered participants will receive an email by June 15 with hotel booking information, along with any workshop schedule updates, repertoire suggestions, ensemble music and additional event details as they become available. We’re looking forward to welcoming you!
