Mind, Body, Harp!
We’ve all had days where we miraculously manage to carve out time to practice, we finally get to sit down at the harp, but our minds are still racing around with the rest of our day. This leads to inefficient practice, stressful performances, and can even contribute to pain and injury!
Let’s talk about what we can do mentally and physically to get the most out of our practice time, lessons, and performances.
In this Intensive you will learn:
- How to recognize characteristics of harp tension
- Steps to focus the mind and reduce tension
- Tools to curate your routine and environment to make the most of your practice and performance
TEACHERS:
Your instructors for this Intensive are Harp Mastery® Certified Coaches Candace Lark and Caitlin Mehrtens
”At Harp Mastery®, we believe harpists must make music on their own terms, not someone else’s, and we encourage and support them in their quest to do that. We believe we can empower every harpist to find fulfillment and joy in their harp playing.”

Ready, Set, Play!
LIVE via Zoom on Saturday, May 1st from 11AM-1PM EDT
Most musicians have had at least one performance experience they would rather forget. For many, it’s their first performance, which may also be their last. Learn the proper (and surprisingly fun!) steps to prepare for playing for others so you know both you and your music are ready.
In this Intensive you will learn:
- How to avoid “Disappearing Dynamics and Mysterious Musicianship,”so you know your listener is hearing what you meant to play, whether you’re playing virtually or in person.
- How to create a performance routine that will give you more focus, security and confidence when you play.
- How to set - and achieve - your own standards for your performance.
TEACHERS:
Your instructors for this Intensive are Harp Mastery® Certified Coach Mary Jane D’Arville and the founder of Harp Mastery® Anne Sullivan.
